Welcome to Haven of Life Home! We’re excited to have you here!

This place is very special to us. It was the vision of its previous owner that this could be a place that could provide rest, relaxation and help for our friends in ministry. We personally enjoy the area and we’re convinced you will too.

Below you’ll find useful information that we’ve compiled to help our guests make the most of their stay.

Parks & Activities

McCormick’s Creek State Park:

This park is a beautiful is the oldest state park in the state, dedicated on July 4, 1916, as part of the state's centennial celebration. Trails, waterfalls, a recreation center, an Olympic size pool are available during summer months (Memorial day – Labor day)

Horseback riding at McCormick’s Creek:

Horse back riding is available for approximately $22 per person through the park grounds on horse trails.
April – October, 9am – 5pm

House Instructions

Parking

You are welcome to park your vehicle(s) in the gravel drive way near the house and down towards the garage. There is no garage parking.

WIFI

The Wi-Fi network and password is on the router in the Master bedroom.

Fire Stick

There's an Amazon remote and Fire Stick (in the back of the TV) available. You will need to sign into your own accounts for usage.

Air Conditioning

You can adjust the temperature using the thermostat in the upstairs hallway. However, please try to keep the temperature set between 70-78 degrees.

Washer & Dryer

The washer and dryer are downstairs in the room beside the bathroom. You are welcome to use the washer and dryer as needed but you will need to provide your own detergent.

Coffee Machines

The Keurig and regular coffee maker is for your use and enjoyment.

Dishwasher

Dishwasher tablets are located under the sink.

Printer

A wireless inkjet and paper is available for minor printing.

Fire Pit

Fire pit utensils are in cabinet next to fridge.

Bathrooms

The downstairs bathroom is not working and should not be used.

TV

The outlet behind the TV is not working. The TV is plugged into the extension cord going across the fireplace.

Emergencies

Richard Welding is the neighbor who takes care of the property. For the most part, you should not need his help. But if there is an absolutely emergency you are welcome to contact him at (812) 361-6516.

Please Read Our

House Rules

Please be mindful of the neighbors when it comes to noise and roaming. Please avoid being too loud and limit outdoor activity during late or early morning hours.

Please do not rearrange the furniture.

Please keep one key in the lock box at all times. For convenience, you may keep an extra on your person during your stay. Lost keys incur a replacement fee.

No tobacco, alcohol or illegal substances allowed on the premises at any time.

Please avoid leaving the exterior doors open for long periods of time.

No pets are allowed on the premises.

Checkout Instructions

Before checking out, please follow the procedures below:

Remove all sheets and pillow cases from beds and collect dirty towels/rags. Place downstairs in front of laundry room door.

Leave the air conditioner set to 72 degrees.

Take out all trash to the trash can located in the garage.

Empty the refrigerator of all of the items you brought.

Load and start the dishwasher. (Dishwasher detergent is located below the sink)

Make sure any windows you may have opened are closed.

Check to make sure you are not leaving any personal items behind.

Notify us if there is anything broken or missing that we should know about.

Lock all doors and return all keys to lock box at final departure.
